a few things that really tick me off

Okay firstly I don't mean to annoy or divert any ones customers but I think its so flipping wrong to charge some one $5USD / £3.23GBP to learn how to crochet one bleeding stitch when there are so many websites on line that can show you for FREE!!! :( I had this debate with another designer who claimed they were all there hard work and I got a lot of backlash from her followers :(

So while I was sifting through the heaps of websites I have bookmarked over the past year, it occurred to me that I had often bookmarked tutorials for certain stitches or hats etc that were free patterns and then found the same on Etsy which you had to pay for!!!! and I mean I am NOT a tight wad ill happily pay for patterns to learn something new but only if I cant find it on places like youtube, that site is really good its how I first learned to crochet courtesy of Bobwilson123 this lady does every thing in slow motion and repeats repeats repeats so you definitely get it!! I have seen other vids that go wayy to fast and its ni on impossible to learn from them so again I don't mind paying for patterns just think this is wrong...

so here are two scarfs one in Blue and one in Red ... please tell me the difference? .....

Exactly! there are none except that with the blue one you can if you wish make it shorter and make it into a neckwarmer which is exactly what this lady offers in her patterns... I mean come on this is one long continous scarf no increasing or decreasing

It's my God daughters 4th Birthday on Saturday! I don't know where the time goes?? and I have just under a week so find a present, and I have no idea what to buy or make?! this little girl literally has everything!!! she is in love with Disney Princess' at the moment. I mean come on what little girl now-a-days isn't?! ;) so browsing on Esty and I found these wonderful finds.. {I do <3 that site!}

these wonderful hair grips are made using various pieces of ribbon and then hot glued in place, I am pretty sure I can make these my self so I may get cracking on this but for those of you who are interested Kutie Klipz on Etsy sells these but she also has other wonderful 3d hair clips this lady really is talented and her work  is exquisite! there is a link for her shop ... Kutie Klipz

Isn't this Crochet Belle doll simply beautiful?? My little Princess is smitten with her!! she wants me to make her one just like this! but I haven't tried my hand at amiguri just yet ill save that for another time! little does she know I will be Crocheting the entire Princess' collection for her Birthday to go along with her Snow White and the Seven Dwarf's teddy bears she got for her 1st Christmas from my Mum and Dad. These will be the first time I will design my own amiguri pattern with a little help from my nanny! and once we have worked out the perfect pattern I promise I will share and do a tutorial so you to can have beautiful Princess' for your little girls and hey why not even the princes to go with them??  now I am being ambitious! hehe This beautiful Belle doll was made by PeachyKeeneDesigns on Etsy here is a link to their shop ... PeachyKeeneDesigns

Another early morning

 Happy Valentines to all you lovely people!! :) did you all have a good day? I did! I got a lovely beautiful bouquet of flowers from the boyfriend which didn't just have roses but also my favourites, Lilly's!! :) I think they smell simply wonderful! they remind me of when I was 15 when my parents got married! :)

On another note..
I was browsing Pinterest early hours this morning as you do when you cant sleep! and I came across a corn dog recipe and I must say I have never ever had one I've visited New York a few years back and yes I know I should have tried one then but I was soo excited about the sites and shopping!! :P that I completely forgot to write up a list of all the things to see and try out there so now aged 25 {eek} I really really want to visit out there and show my little princess all the wonders like central park etc :) getting back to my point :l haha I found a recipe from hillbillyhousewife for a corn dog recipe found here I really cant wait to try these out!!!

also!!!!!!! I found another great website for american sweeties as we don't have them here apart from Reeces which I still haven't tried!! I know some of the foods I am about to list may be full of calories but I just HAVE to try them!!! :)) just for the sake of it!! as you do!

Pop - Tarts!! found these in an old sweet shop in Greenwich for £5.49!!! ouch! but still as yummy as ever!! have not had these since I was a little girl!! 

Fluff - this stuff looks yummy found it on American Stateside candy who thankfully deliver to the UK! :) the site says it tastes yummy with peanut butter what are your thoughts?? 

again I found this on American Stateside candy thought it would make a nice treat to go in the party favours for Arwen's party in June {I think I am a little too organised!?}

Visited Hooters during our stay in New York, the food portions out there compared to here are HUGE!! I felt full 24/7 and came home 2stone heavier {oopsie} but this wing sauce I am definitely going to try!! :))

I remember these from again when I was a little one but they stopped selling them over here!! :(( bought a few boxes back from the apple definitely want these again!! :))

haha if any of you guys are reading from overseas you must think I eat very unhealthy by what I have posted! :l haha I DONT HONEST!!! :))))

If u haven't then you need to she is sharing a pattern for cute bow granny squares.. oh ny they are too cite I just had to give them a go I used lilys sugar and cream cotton yarn I love the selection of colours they have just right for springtime :))) my favorite time of year

Christmas Shopping..

I was out Christmas shopping for my little girl when I found this gorgeous beige knitted jumper with flecks of metallic gold, 

this is an example of the effect id like :))

It got me thinking, I'd love some yarn like that!!! ... so I have been scouring Google to try and find something and all that keeps coming up in my searches is metallic thread that I can wind around my yarn and knit with, but its not going to give me the same effect! :(( so if any of you lovely people know how to do this I would greatly appreciate if you could give me a few pointers and tips?? because I was thinking of getting some pure wool yarn instead of acrylic and experimenting with Metallic Fabric Paint?? if all works out well I'll post my first ever tutorial on how to do this and what I intend on making with it. At the moment I have no idea what I want to make I have a few ideas like children's hat's, snood's & mitten's but as I cannot Knit (yet) I can only Crochet so I am yet to find a simple easy pattern for these hopeful projects for a beginner like me!

Blogger?? what's that?? Oh yes I remember ...

Last post April 2011 ... wow not even my twitter account has less posts than that.. damn you Facebook! :]

okay so the idea was I set up this account to showcase all my wonderful DIY creations and possibly some tutorials, but I have been absolutely rubbish at doing so.. so much to do yet so little time :[ I am constantly searching for tutorials, project patterns, unique party DIY inspiration ideas etc that my computer is full with ideas, a bit like pintrest if you may? so I have had a thought... {another creation coming along??} Yes! but will try and get this one finished!! :D

Okay so my objective is to print out and showcase all my ideas, and inspiration in a Portfolio and then add to it with my versions, tweaks, and re-designs etc.. but will I ever get around to this?? hmm I sure do hope so

for those of you who don't know I still live at home with my parents, wayy to expensive to move out just yet.. the cost of living in London is so expensive.. so for the moment me and the little one are staying here.. we aim to have our own place by next year .. {watch this space} so you can imagine what my tiny bedroom is like?? [C.r.a.m.p.e.d] haha I literately think I could open my own craft shop at this rate oopsie..

The little one has started afternoon nursery now so this gives me a couple of hours to try and get things done each day {she says} plus working a part time job to keep the money coming in {lord knows you cant survive on the pittance the government pays} besides working keeps me sane and happy and I wouldn't have it any other way, as much as I love my little monkey, I couldn't imagine not working, I love the money coming in at the end of the month!! :] hehe who doesn't huh?? :]

anyway's I rant on far to much ..
